Yes — most San Anselmo homes near the Hub, Sleepy Hollow, and Bald Hill were built without ductwork, so a ductless mini split adds efficient heating and cooling without tearing into walls. We size and place each unit for the room and the home’s tight lot.
We do full heat pump installation, including load calculations, permits with the Town of San Anselmo, and electrical checks, then walk you through PG&E, BayREN, and TECH rebates so you capture the savings on your switch from gas.
Absolutely. A single heat pump or mini split delivers steady heat through the valley’s cool, foggy mornings and quiet cooling on warm afternoons — ideal for homes that have relied on a furnace alone with no air conditioning.
The cost of heat pump system installation can vary depending on the size of your house, ductwork requirements, and electrical work. A John Owens technician can give a more accurate estimate after a site visit and load calculation.
What size heat pump install you need will depend on your household’s heating and cooling needs as well as the size of your home. Our technicians can analyze and discuss options with you.
Heat pumps can offer efficient heating and cooling to older San Anselmo homes, but factors like ductwork, insulation, and your home’s electrical capacity will have to be taken into account.
Absolutely! A ductless heat pump installation is a perfect option for houses with no ductwork or houses getting rid of ductwork.
A ductless mini-split would be a strong option for a large, multi-story house because of the zoned heating and cooling method it offers.
From the Marin coast to Sonoma wine country, we bring honest plumbing, heating & cooling to homeowners across both counties — based locally since 1986.
